Weekly Dispatch w/e 11th August

My Weekly Dispatch

Time to catch up on what's been happening this past week, and see what's coming up.

Hello Reader, sorry I missed last week! Remember that stomach bug I told you about? Yeah, well, it turned out to be a GERD flare-up, not a bug, and it laid me low all weekend. I can't really say I enjoyed my lazy weekend, what with feeling like death warmed up and then having all the chores I usually do at the weekend waiting for me on Monday! It's calmed down a little now, although it's still worse than usual. Fingers crossed it keeps on getting better.

I'm still spending time with my Puds whenever possible. Little Pud has met me from work a couple of times and we've walked home together. They just have two more weeks until they start back at school. 💙

So, what has happened since last we spoke? Let me tell you...

I'm currently getting things sorted for Macsen's story. This one will be better known than the other two, but I'll still be using the Brothers Grimm as a base, rather than Disney! 😆

Don't forget, you can order signed copies of both paperbacks and hardcovers directly from me, cheaper than Amazon, including Feathers and Foxes! 💙

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

#FamilyMovieNight was a blast last night - literally in places! I've been wanting to watch this for a while now and couldn't be happier. Considering the serious story it's based on, I found it highly amusing and full of action.

With a cast of Alan Ritchson, Henry Cavill, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and others, this was entertaining from beginning to end. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Library of Alexandria, Egypt

Julius Caesar might have burned down the famous, ancient library of Alexandria, but these days, Egypt is paying homage to that great monument of antiquity. The circular, granite building may not look like the original library (based on historical descriptions), but it is certainly beautiful — it's covered in carvings from local artists and surrounded by a clear, blue reflecting pool.

Anyway, that's nearly it from me for this week. I'll leave you with this thought...

What are you up to? Do you have any special plans or events coming up? Let me know if you fancy sharing, and AUTHORS, that includes you!

If you want daily updates, don't forget to join my FB group - Morgan's Musings.

Don't forget to check the book below - another new release from the #FaRo Authors! Until next week...

Take care and have fun! 💙

As a rescue swimmer for the U.S. Coast Guard, Reid Kruetz has a healthy respect for the ocean and its dangers but conducting search and rescue operations in heavy seas is just another Tuesday.

That is, until two high-profile cases bring him to Haven Cove, Maine, a small coastal town known for its vicious mermaids. While on a case, the crew he’s meant to rescue is yanked into the deep, never to resurface again, and he’s brought face-to-face with an amber-eyed mermaid, her lips red with blood. But there’s more to her than stunning, deadly beauty, and she leaves him alive with a message he can’t ignore: her kind are being hunted to extinction.

Nireed and her merfolk kin are fighting for survival. While recovering from the brain virus that ripped apart their community, a new threat dwindles their numbers. A nefarious group of fishermen are targeting their kind, using their favorite delicacy to lure them in.

Dead or alive, she will not be captured. Not ever again.

And yet, if she’s to protect her own people without destroying the tenuous peace between merfolk and humankind, she will have to learn to work with the infuriatingly handsome human who tried to save her enemies. But it soon becomes clear that there’s another threat to her life at sea, and it isn’t any net, but the surface-dweller seeking to ensnare her heart.

My Monthly Dispatch Time to catch up on what's been happening this past month, and see what's coming up. Hello Reader. How's life been treating you? As you may have seen or noticed, I've changed my newsletters from weekly to monthly. After doing a poll in Morgan's Musings, it was decided to do one at the beginning of the month... so here we are. 💙 So, what has happened since last we spoke? Let me tell you... My Weekly Dispatch Time to catch up on what's been happening this past week, and see what's coming up. Hello Reader. How's life been treating you? I did something today I haven't done in many a year and went to church. It's all down to Little Pud exploring her options and me supporting her however I can. After a major run-around, I'm off to the opticians on Tuesday to order my new glasses. I'm hoping that within 10 days or so, I'll be able to see again and therefore start Macsen's story. Keep...

My Weekly Dispatch Time to catch up on what's been happening this past week, and see what's coming up. Hello Reader, my vacation is over and I'm getting ready to go back to work tomorrow. I'll actually be glad as I've spent part of the last week being ill with a stomach bug. Oh, the timing! Still, at least I didn't have to have any sick days. I've also spent time with my Puds, which was wonderful. We've been shopping, we've been on walks, and best of all, we've just spent time together. What...
