My Weekly Dispatch

Time to catch up on what's been happening this past week, and see what's coming up.

Hello Reader, how's your weekend going? I've finished my second week of work and received my very first payslip since we moved to Germany! Woohoo, go me!

This week has been a little easier as my cold is finally going. The weather has been a little crazy though, and we've had snow and hail storms. It is supposed to be warming up to 'normal' April temperatures this week, just as we move into May. 💙

So, what has happened since last we spoke? Let me tell you...

The Great Wall

#FamilyMovieNight was back to Prime and The Great Wall. This is a 2016 film with Matt Damon, Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe, Jing Tian, Andy Lau, plus plenty of others. It's a historical fantasy about fighting the Tao Tie - alien monsters who attack every 60 years.

It wasn't up there as one of the best, but we all enjoyed it. Plus, Little Pud was impressed that the hint of a love story didn't progress any further, and the focus stayed on the action and fighting.

Recommended by us.

Wiblingen Monastery Library in Ulm, Germany

While the Wiblingen Monastery was founded in 1093, the whimsical Rococo library wasn’t completed until 1744 under the design direction of Christian Wiedemann. The hand-carved wooden columns and statues, painted to resemble marble, depict the Christian virtues and disciplines with the books placed to correspond with the statues. The 15,000-item collection includes a large collection of both Pagan- and Christian-related imagery.

I wrote this week!!!

I'm so happy, I can't tell you (and that's not good for an author!) No, I didn't write as much as I wanted, but I did make a start. I also read through everything I've written so far and have decided that I'm happy with it - which is always a good thing. I'm carrying on this week and hope to have an actual word count for you very soon.💙

What are you up to? Do you have any special plans or events coming up? Let me know if you fancy sharing.

Don't forget to check the book below - another new release from the #FaRo Authors! Until next week...

Take care and have fun! 💙

The moment he was born, Jamie Weaver was tied by the threads of fate to a fae prince—he just didn’t know it yet.

When Jamie moved to Edinburgh for graduate school, he wasn’t looking for adventure or romance—he just wanted to escape the monotony of small-town Tennessee and the constant anxiety of having to live with his step-father. The ancient city and even more ancient crags drew him in, and he immersed himself in his studies and the atmosphere of Scotland.

Bran mac Cairn still hasn’t come to terms with the fact that he’s been tied to a half-breed.

If he had to be one of the threadbound, tied to another by drawing his first breath at the same exact instant, why couldn’t he have been tied to someone powerful? Someone interesting? But no, Bran had to be tied to a completely ordinary-seeming human half-breed who had thus far spent his life in a place Bran wouldn’t be caught either dead or alive in.

The threads that bind them are growing impatient.

At twenty-five, all threadbound are expected to formalize their bond. But Jamie knows nothing about it, and Bran has no desire to be any more permanently attached to an annoying mortal than he already is. Except that he also can’t stay away.

A standalone M/M fated Fae Romance with a HEA.

My Weekly Dispatch Time to catch up on what's been happening this past week, and see what's coming up. Hello Reader, first off, I need to apologise for not sending out a newsletter last week. It was a crazy weekend that left me not knowing up from down. Hopefully, this week's newsletter will make up for it. If any of you listen to podcasts, then I can highly recommend one on Spotify. It's called Stories from Lore, and I have worked my way through from the very first episode. It gives you a...

My Weekly Dispatch Time to catch up on what's been happening this past week, and see what's coming up. Hello Reader, how's your weekend going? This past week has gone by in a blur! The Puds are 'enjoying' being back at school and are already counting down the weeks to the summer holiday! As for me, well, my first week went as well as it could considering I was knocked off my feet with a horrible flu-like cold. It started last Saturday, got worse on Sunday, and I can't remember much of...

My Weekly Dispatch Time to catch up on what's been happening this past week, and see what's coming up. Hello Reader, how's your weekend going? For the Puds, it's time to get ready for school again, as they're back Monday morning. And for me, I'm busy sorting everything out for my new job! I'm excited but apprehensive too. It's been 13 years since I last worked anyway for pay - not including my volunteering in the school library. I have no idea about what hours I'll be working so until I do,...
