My Weekly Dispatch

Time to catch up on what's been happening this past week, and see what's coming up.

Hello Reader, last week was the one and only full week at work for the month of May and, let me tell you, it felt like a long one! It's a bank holiday on Monday though, so I'm hoping to get more words in. 💙

So, what has happened since last we spoke? Let me tell you...

Another 7+k has been written, even though I'm finding it a little harder than usual. LOL My left thumb has been strapped up in a splint with a steel inner to immobilise it after damaging my UCL by falling off a bike. It's a little difficult to type with a steel plate but I'm trying!

Getting ever closer to the end and this is always the hardest part as I don't want a floppy ending, but one that stands strong with the rest of the book!

Still, I'm getting there. 😁💙

DISJOINTED LIVES

was my second book and is only a short novella, set in a coffee shop, with two friends. It is different from my other stories, but received great feedback, being called "a beautifully written emotional rollercoaster that covers a tough subject." 💙

“There is a train of thought out there,” starts Paige, “That says we all have a soul mate. That we were once one soul, but we were split into two.” “I’ve heard of this,” said Ava. “Surely Tristan would be my soul mate though? You’ve said it yourself about how good we are together. We complement each other, it’s one of the reasons our relationship works so well.” “Your soul mate isn’t always who you expect it to be. For instance, it could have been James. Just because they are your soul mate, doesn’t mean you will get on and get the fairytale ending in this lifetime. It means you are connected to this person on a deeper level, and you will meet up with them in every lifetime. You may be their brother, sister, wife, mother, lover. It doesn’t matter. You are just connected.” Ava thought about what Paige had said. “So you’re saying you think Jacob might be my soul mate?” she asked eventually. “Possibly,” shrugged Paige. “It would explain how he cared about you, how he was there when you needed him. It might even be because of him you found the strength to leave James. After all, you’d been with him for ten years, but you suddenly can’t cope anymore? What changed? Jacob might have been the catalyst for your life changing, but just wasn’t meant to be more than that in this life.”

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre

#FamilyMovieNight was a fun one last night. It was a spy movie with action and comedy. To be honest, I thought Cary Elwes and Hugh Grant would be carrying the comedy but they didn't. The funny lines were given to the whole cast, although Hugh Grant appeared to be having the time of his life.

This was a great film that we all loved, with plenty of laughter from all of us.

Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris, France

Founded by Charles V. Despite in 1368, the first collection of the France’s national library was housed within a special room in the Louvre. Today, the Bibliothèque nationale de France spans over four locations across Paris and houses over 10 million titles ranging from arts to law to philosophy. The institution displays countless exhibits and works of art including King Louis XIV’s colossal globes, which formerly lived at Versailles until the French Revolution.

My Weekly Dispatch Time to catch up on what's been happening this past week, and see what's coming up. Hello Reader, it's Sunday and that must mean catch-up time! I've still got my cough and generally feeling like poop, so there's that. My second week of walking for my Wales Coast Road and I made it to Beaumaris and Caernarfon. I'm now heading to Aberdesach Beach but I have 12km to go before I get there. I also reached the 20% mark which means I have stopped 10 plastic bottles from entering...

My Weekly Dispatch Time to catch up on what's been happening this past week, and see what's coming up. Hello Reader, sorry the newsletter is late. I appear to have come down with ANOTHER cough!!! This one seems to have affected the majority of the population though. Honestly, you can tell I'm working at a kindergarten. I hope my immune system kicks in by autumn or it will be just one long cough and cold-fest. The weather is still nice though - sunny and not too warm, with rainy days too. My...

My Weekly Dispatch Time to catch up on what's been happening this past week, and see what's coming up. Hello Reader, another week, another bank holiday. That's it for a while though, so I enjoyed it while I could. I also did a thing - I signed up for a Conqueror Challenge! I'll be walking the Wales Coast Path, a distance of 160,9km. I'm hoping to complete it by the end of August and, when I do, I'll get a gorgeous metal medal. 💙 So, what has happened since last we spoke? Let me tell you......
