Hello Reader, another week, another bank holiday. That's it for a while though, so I enjoyed it while I could. I also did a thing - I signed up for a Conqueror Challenge! I'll be walking the Wales Coast Path, a distance of 160,9km. I'm hoping to complete it by the end of August and, when I do, I'll get a gorgeous metal medal. 💙
So, what has happened since last we spoke? Let me tell you...

5+k this week as my thumb has been aching. I'm still wearing the brace and I've got another week before I go back to the doctor's if there's no improvement. I'm determined to finish Terrwyn and Sulien's story though, brace or no brace. I'm so close to the ending, I can taste it! 😁💙 |
Work In Progress
Because you've been so good about the delays, here is a snippet of Terrwyn's story. I hope you enjoy! 💙
The grassy plains of Erast stretched endlessly into a vast expanse of undulating greenery that seemed to merge seamlessly with the horizon. As the chilly mid-Eira winds swept in, carrying the remnants of winter’s frost, the grasses transformed into endless motion and sounds. Blades of grass bowed and danced in the wind’s wake, swaying rhythmically like an ocean of emerald waves.
The cold air bit at Terrwyn’s exposed skin, leaving his cheeks flushed and his nose tingling with its icy touch. He breathed in deeply, enjoying the fresh feeling in his lungs. Vala shifted beneath him, anxious to continue their journey, his rich, deep chestnut coat shimmering in the sunlight.
“It’s striking, isn’t it?” Terrwyn patted the side of Vala’s neck, gripping the reins in one gloved hand. “There is a certain beauty in the way the sunlight filters through the clouds, painting the grass into shades of gold and amber.”
Vala whickered, although Terrwyn wasn’t sure if it was in response to his words, or the herd of wild ponies he could see in the distance, their forms blurred by the rippling grasses.
“Come on, lad. We’ll be there soon, and I promise you a good rubdown and some oats.” With a click of his tongue, Terrwyn and Vala continued to Erast. They moved with a practised grace, undeterred by the cold or the wind.
The day wore on and it was only as the sun dipped lower in the sky that the town of Erast came into sight. The town was situated in the heart of the plains, surrounded by gently rolling hills, fields, and streams. Enclosed by sturdy stone walls, adorned with ivy and creeping vines, turrets and battlements punctuated the walls at regular intervals, offering panoramic views of the landscape.

The Pink Panther
#FamilyMovieNight was a remake of old classics, starring Steve Martin and Jean Reno. It was more slapstick than I tend to enjoy, but it was enjoyable enough. There was one scene when they had to pretend to be backing dancers - now THAT was funny!

State Library of South Australia in Adelaide, Australia |
The State Library of South Australia dedicates its work to preserving the stories of the Kaurna people in the Adelaide plains and South Australia. Blending both contemporary flair and Victorian charm, the library is comprised of three buildings: the modern Catherine Helen Spence Wing, the historic Mortlock Wing, and the studious Institute Building. The 19th-century Mortlock Chamber has been nicknamed the “Harry Potter Room” due to its resemblance to the fictional grand library in Hogwarts. |

Guardian or deceiver? Princess or pawn? Only the moon remembers who I used to be...
As a huntress of Clan Stag Gréine, I’ve always been ready to defend my people to the last. But nothing could have prepared me for the conquest of the Aquilian Empire. With my sister’s body still warm in its grave, I am forced to serve the very people who destroyed her.
Until, at my breaking point, I'm lured into the forest by the mysterious faun Hiberos.
Hiberos is fickle and secretive, yet his moonstone eyes draw me further and further under his spell. According to him, my recurring dreams of the lunar fae’s lost princess may not be dreams after all—they may be memories.
If I can cross through the Moon Gate and persuade the lunar fae to help me, I might stand a chance in defeating the Empire. But to prove I am their lost princess, I must first survive three deadly trials. And as I'm pulled into the spiral of my past lives, I begin to wonder ... is Hiberos my enemy, or is there a reason his soul calls to mine?
Daughter of the Moon is the first book in the Guardians of the Fae Gate series, a slow-burn, dark fantasy romance inspired by Celtic mythology. Featuring an unbreakable heroine, an enigmatic faun love interest, and increasingly spicy dreams, this is a must-read for fans of Throne of Glass and Pan's Labyrinth.
